Jr. High Sunday School

We have re-launched Jr. High Sunday School, and students going into grades 6-8 are welcome to come down to the portable at the time of the Children’s Ministry dismissal. Students will be released at the end of the service (no pickup necessary). Jr. High Sunday school will take place every week EXCEPT the first Sunday of the month.

 

Weekly Youth Group

Cornerstone Jr. High meets on Tuesday nights, 6:00-7:30pm.  This is an open program so invite your Grade 6-8 friends out for a fun night of music, activities and games, and a large group lesson with small group breakout.  Dress for the weather as we plan to do lots of outdoor activities each week.

Upcoming Events

Cross Care

On Saturday November 9, we’ll be doing a cross-generational care project in partnership with Redeemer City Church, old and young together. If you can swing a rake, blow and bag leaves (regardless of your age), you can use your Saturday morning to help some of our widows and elderly get a head start on their fall yard work before the snow flies. 

We’ll meet at Cornerstone at 9 am, have a great time working, and finish the fun with a pizza lunch back at church. To sign up, contact Pastor Steve. 

 

Jr. High Bedlam Winter Retreat

Date: Friday, November 15 - Sunday, November 17
Location: Muskoka Woods Resort // Rosseau
Cost: $160/student

Details: Bedlam is a weekend like no other. Hosted by FEB, this is a retreat where Jr High students can experience God through fantastic worship and teaching and also deepen friendships and make amazing memories as they take advantage of everything that Muskoka Woods Resort has to offer. All meals and accommodation is included in the price.

Carpool transportation will be provide by our screened volunteer drivers.  If you're already a screened volunteer driver or would like to become one, please contact Noah or Josh. If you have any questions, please contact Noah or Josh.

Jr. High Bedlam Retreat Payment Options

There are several ways you can send your payment for Bedlam:

1. E-Transfer: you can send your e-transfer to 'give@cornerstoneorillia.org'; no security question and answer is needed. Please ensure you write your students' name in the memo line.

2. PayPal: you can click the PayPal link below to pay; you don't need to have a PayPal account to use this option; PayPal accepts all major credit cards.

3. Cash/Cheque: you can bring your payment in to Noah Ecker or Josh Scott on Youth Nights.

Youth Ministry Registration & Waiver

Information received is confidential and is being gathered for the purposes of serving your student while in the care of Cornerstone Baptist Church, Orillia. Any medical information collected here serves to authorize Cornerstone Baptist Church, Orillia and its staff and volunteers, to obtain medical assistance in emergencies.
PLEASE NOTE: In the case of custody agreements, include the proper form authorizing parental contacts.

SECTION 1

Please complete the following information. The safety of your youth is our primary concern. Precautions will be taken for their wellbeing and protection. If your information in Section 1 hasn't changed since the last time you completed a waiver, please indicate that and proceed to Sections 2 and 3.

If your information has not changed, you can leave the rest of Section 1 blank and move to Section 2 and 3

Purposes and Extent: Cornerstone Baptist Church, Orillia is collecting and retaining this personal information for the purpose of enrolling your student in our programs, to assign the student to the appropriate classes, to develop and nurture ongoing relationships with you and your student, and to inform you of program updates and upcoming opportunities at our Church. This information will be maintained indefinitely as it is a requirement of our insurance company and legal counsel. If you wish Cornerstone Baptist Church to limit the information collected, or to view your student’s information, please contact us.

SECTION 2

Please complete each waiver below by selecting 'I agree' or 'I disagree'.

I/we, the parents or guardians named above, authorize Josh Scott, Noah Ecker or one of the Cornerstone Baptist Church, Orillia Ministry Personnel, to sign a consent for medical treatment and to authorize any physician or hospital to provide medical assessment, treatment or procedures for the participant named above.
I/we, the parents or guardians named above, undertake and agree to indemnify and hold blameless Cornerstone Baptist Church, Orillia, the Board of Elected Elders and Ministry Personnel from and against any loss, damage or injury suffered by the participant as a result of being part of the activities of Cornerstone Baptist Church, Orillia as well as of any medical treatment authorized by the supervising individuals representing the church. This consent and authorization is effective only when participating in or traveling to or from events of Cornerstone Baptist Church, Orillia.
I/we, the parents or guardians named above, GRANT PERMISSION for the reasonable use of pictures containing our student in any or all of the following ways (please indicate any or all):
